I am fallen so low in place. I can reward thee only with niggardly thanks." Restoration of an illustration to Oscar Wilde's The Duchess of Padua, by an uncredited American artist. There was a lot of random dirt and random ink spots (you can tell they\'re not part of the art as they were on the border too). Took a few hours, but wasn't too bad, on the whole - just lots of little stuff. Another of the things I've had sitting around half-finished for years.I discovered there's almost no images for this play in existence, apparently (it is one of Wilde's most obscure works) so I thought I'd correct this. However, such research also showed that finding out the uncredited artist is unlikely, unfortunately.Source:The original image is, of course, out of copyright due to being an American work from before 1923.Oh, yes: the grey cast to the image probably marks it as a photogravure. Those tend to be a little darker than the page itself, but have very fine gradients of shade.Original public domain image from Wikimedia CommonsMorePublic DomainFree CC0 image for Personal and Business useInfoView CC0 LicenseJPEGSmall JPEG 825 x 1200 px | 300 dpiLarge JPEG 2408 x 3500 px | 300 dpiBest Quality JPEG 5003 x 7273 px | 300 dpiEdit ImageMonthlyYearlySave 50%Get PremiumProfessional design resources and creative toolsfromfrom$6.50/mo$78 billed yearlyUnlimited downloadsAd-free experienceUnlock millions of creative assets and our entire Creative Studio of editable templates, mockups and design toolsBuy Now
